Terms of Service

Effective: 16 July 2026

These terms govern your use of toron (the “Service”). The Service is provided as a free beta.

1. What the Service does

The Service is a platform for breaking a single problem into issues and debating them in a fixed structure of claims, evidence and rebuttals. The AI summarises discussions in scheduled batches and suggests next questions — it does not judge who is right, and does not rule any statement true or false.

2. Accounts

You create an account by signing in with Google and choosing a handle. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for the use of your account.

3. Your obligations and prohibited conduct

  • Do not post anything that infringes the rights of others (reputation, copyright, personal data, and so on)
  • No unlawful content, spam, flooding, or interference with the operation of the Service
  • Posts must follow the defined types (claim, evidence, rebuttal) and the structural rules

4. Content and rights

You retain the rights to the content you write. You grant the Service a licence to use, reproduce and process that content for the purpose of operating the Service (publishing, displaying, AI summarisation and backup). Posted content is public and may be surfaced by search engines and similar services.

5. Notice about AI summaries

AI summaries are a reference aid for understanding a discussion — not a verdict and not fact-checking. They may contain errors or omissions, so please consult the original posts and their sources before relying on them for anything important.

6. Example (reconstructed) content

Example discussions attributed to historical figures are reconstructions of their known positions, not their actual words. They are educational content that exists to illustrate the debate format and the AI summary.

7. Disclaimer and changes to the Service

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or of uninterrupted availability. As a free beta, the Service may change or be discontinued, and data may be lost.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. For questions about these terms, please contact privacy@toron.cloud.

9. Notice of changes

If these terms change, we will announce it on this page together with the new effective date.
